Ujjiva Small Finance Bank - Lead - Assets Strategy

Role Purpose & Objective :

• Support creation and periodic modification of the bank's medium- to long-term asset strategy, ensuring seamless translation of strategic objectives into actionable business plans and measurable outcomes across all business verticals.
• Identify, plan, and support execution of strategic initiatives that drive sustainable asset product growth, profitability, risk alignment, and productivity across channels in alignment with the organizational vision and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with business teams to ensure envisioned outcomes of identified initiatives are achieved within desired timelines.
• Partner with the leadership team to address market dynamics, emerging trends, and evolving customer needs.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of strategic initiatives.
• Focus on portfolio growth, diversification, and achieving scale across lending Responsibilities :
• Lead development and execution of strategies for retail, MSME, and corporate lending portfolios.
• Collaborate with product, risk, analytics, and branch teams to design innovative lending products and schemes.
• Monitor portfolio performance including loan disbursement trends, NPA levels, yield optimization, and profitability, and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare business cases, reports, and presentations for senior management and board on asset strategy initiatives.
• Lead cross-functional projects focused on process optimization, digital lending, and operational excellence.
• Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, and industry trend analysis to inform strategic decisions.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and alignment with internal credit policies across all portfolios.
• Mentor and guide team members on asset strategy, analytics, and candidate profile :
• 10-15 years of progressive experience in banking, financial services, or strategic consulting. Should have experience in strategy or consulting role in Banking or consulting Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent qualification from reputed institution with specialization in Strategy, Finance, or Banking. Certifications in Strategic Planning, Digital Transformation or Business Analytics will be advantageous
