Job Opportunity : Staff SDET Engineer

Experience : 6 to 12 years

Employment Type : Full-time

About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Staff SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving quality across the software development lifecycle, designing and implementing automated testing frameworks, and ensuring the scalability, performance, and reliability of our applications. You will work closely with Product Management, Engineering, and DevOps teams to deliver world-class products.

Key Responsibilities :

Analyze and comprehend project requirements and convert them into test strategies.
Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and automated scripts.
Conduct Functional, Integration, Regression, and System Testing.
Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using Selenium, TestNG, and Java.
Perform REST API testing and validation of backend services.
Ensure database testing through SQL queries and data validation.
Monitor, identify, and log defects while collaborating with development teams for timely resolutions.
Drive performance testing initiatives to ensure scalability and reliability.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Managers, Developers, and QA teams to enhance product quality.
Generate, analyze, and present test reports and quality metrics to stakeholders.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior SDETs / QAs.
Continuously improve automation coverage, test efficiency, and CI / CD integration.

Required Qualifications :

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

6 to 12 years of experience in Software Testing / SDET roles.

Strong proficiency in Selenium, TestNG, and Java for automation.

Hands-on experience in REST API testing and automation.

Proficiency in SQL for backend testing.

Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

Ability to write robust, maintainable, and scalable automation frameworks.

Experience in Unix / Linux environments.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills :

Exposure to Performance Testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, or Locust).

Experience with CI / CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).

Familiarity with Cloud-hosted applications (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Knowledge of containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).

Experience with monitoring and test metrics tools (Allure, Grafana, Prometheus).
