Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Typical job descriptions include the following core responsibilities :

• Data Pipeline Development : Design, build, and maintain Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) or Extract, Load, Transform (ELT) processes to move and transform data from diverse sources into a usable format, primarily leveraging AWS services like AWS Glue , AWS Lambda , and Amazon Kinesis .
• Data Architecture : Develop and implement robust, scalable, and cost-effective data architecture solutions using AWS services such as Amazon S3 (for data lakes), Amazon Redshift (for data warehousing), and various database services ( RDS , DynamoDB ).
• Performance Optimization : Troubleshoot and optimize data pipelines, data storage, and query performance to ensure fast, reliable access to large datasets.
• Data Quality and Governance : Implement data quality checks, validation rules, and security measures, including AWS IAM , to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Collaboration : Work closely with data scientists, business analysts, and other engineering teams to understand data needs and deliver data solutions that meet business requirements.
• Automation : Automate data processes, monitoring, and infrastructure deployment using tools like Apache Airflow , AWS Step Functions , or AWS CloudFormation (Infrastructure as Code).
