L2 Network Engineer - Cisco Switching Technologies

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex network infrastructures. This role involves leading the L2 Network Team, managing incidents and changes, and ensuring optimal performance and security of network systems.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, plan, implement, migrate, and troubleshoot network infrastructure.
• Handle Incident, Change, and Problem tickets; participate in Major Incident Management.
• Lead and mentor the L2 Network Team; provide technical and process training.
• Implement and maintain LAN / WAN / WLAN equipment from various vendors.
• Upgrade network hardware / software; detect firmware vulnerabilities using tools like Cisco Total Care, Rapid7, SolarWinds NCM.
• Automate network tasks and create upgrade plans / processes for switches, routers, firewalls, FTD, FMC, WAN optimizers.
• Configure and troubleshoot switching technologies : VLANs, VTPv3, STP, PVSTP, RSTP, MST, EtherChannel, UDLD, SPAN / RSPAN, DAI, IP Source Guard, SNMP, NTP, Storm Control, Port Security, Switch Stack, HSRP, VRRP, GLBP, AAA, Dot1x, MAB, DHCP Snooping.
• Configure routers with static and dynamic routing protocols : RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, route redistribution, summarization, route-maps, access / prefix lists, NetFlow, VRF.
• Configure firewalls : GRE, IPsec, NAT / PAT, SFR installation, access control policies, prefiltering, intrusion / malware / file inspection, SSL, identity-based policies.
• Troubleshoot and manage SDA, LAN segmentation, Cisco Wireless APs, Wireless Controllers, Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass, Meraki Wireless.
• Maintain excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
