Role
The Stores & Logistics Executive will manage incoming and outgoing materials, maintain accurate stock records, and coordinate logistics to ensure timely receipt and dispatch of goods for production and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and record all incoming materials, tools, and consumables as per purchase orders and delivery challans.
- Issue materials to production / maintenance as per approved indents and update stock records immediately.
- Maintain minimum / maximum stock levels, monitor slow-moving and critical items, and prepare regular stock status reports.
- Conduct periodic physical stock verification, investigate variances, and reconcile with system records.
- Organise the store layout, ensure proper tagging, binning, and storage of materials with FEFO / FIFO where applicable.
- Coordinate with vendors, transporters, and internal teams for inbound and outbound logistics, including material dispatch and returns.
- Plan and track shipments, prepare and verify documentation (e.g., DC, invoice copies, e-way bill inputs, packing lists) for dispatch.
- Follow up on delivery status, handle delays / damages, and maintain records of freight and transport costs.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and documentation for high-value / critical and safety-sensitive items.
- Maintain housekeeping, safety in stores and loading / unloading areas.
Qualifications and Skills
Diploma or bachelor’s degree, preferably in logistics, supply chain, mechanical, or related field.2+ years’ experience in stores, warehouse, or logistics operations, preferably in manufacturing / engineering.Working knowledge of inventory or ERP software (e.g., Tally / ERP / Excel) and basic MS Office.Good coordination, communication, and vendor follow-up skills; comfort with documentation and record-keeping.Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
