About the Role :

This role leads the evolution of our massive real-time messaging platform, powering billions of messages across SMS, Email, WhatsApp, and more. Youll improve core delivery, retry, and storage systems across Node.js, Firestore, Mongo, and ClickHouse, while shaping backend architecture and patterns. Operating at large scale 50+ workloads, thousands of pods, and event-driven pipelines youll make our infrastructure easier to operate, safer to change, and built to scale.

Requirements :

• 7+ years in backend engineering; proven experience scaling systems with massive throughput
• Deep expertise in databases : Firestore, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, ClickHouse
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, GCP (or AWS), and event-driven infra
• Clear understanding of distributed systems principles : CAP tradeoffs, consistency, rate limiting, retries, idempotency
• Strong API and system boundary design in micro-services ecosystems
• Crisp communication technical leadership without posturing
