DESCRIPTION :

Amazon is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join its Federal Tax Compliance and Reporting team.

The Amazon tax department is a fast-paced, team-focused, and dynamic environment.

This position will focus on Amazon's domestic tax compliance and reporting obligations including preparation of federal income tax filings and the U.S. Federal elements of Amazon's worldwide tax provision.

Key job responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities :

• Preparation and review of federal tax returns and audit-ready workpapers including the US reporting of foreign transactions
• Preparation and review of federal tax returns and audit-ready work papers including the US reporting of foreign transactions.
• Preparation and review of tax adjustments for financial accounting for income taxes and maintenance of deferred tax positions.
• Drive process improvements and coordinate with the Tax Technology team to facilitate streamlining and automation.
• Research and analyze tax planning ideas to determine impacts for U.S. income tax reporting and the federal elements of the worldwide tax provision.
• Support IRS income tax audits by preparing responses and appropriate schedules.
• Keep up-to-date on tax law and the organizational impact of changes.
• Support customers in federal planning, controversy, state and local tax reporting, Capex, US outbound and provision.
• Special projects as needed.
