Job Summary :
As a Duck Creek Claims Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, configuring, and maintaining applications within the Duck Creek Claims Suite. The ideal candidate will have experience in Duck Creek Author, Manuscripts, Transact, Express, and Claims configuration, along with a deep understanding of property & casualty (P&C) insurance processes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, configure, and implement solutions using Duck Creek Claims Suite.
- Customize claims workflows, pages, and rules using Duck Creek Author and Manuscripts.
- Collaborate with business analysts, testers, and architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure coding standards are met.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in a timely manner.
- Contribute to sprint planning and Agile ceremonies.
- Optimize performance and scalability of the Claims application.
- Integrate Duck Creek with other systems using web services (SOAP / REST).
- Provide post-production support and enhancements.
Required Skills and Experience :
Mandatory :
3 to 14 years of experience in Duck Creek Claims implementation and development.Strong hands-on experience with Duck Creek tools like :1. Author
2. Manuscripts
3. Transact
4. Express
5. bDecision / Form Designer
Experience with configuration of :1. Claims setup
2. Claims transactions
3. Business rules and validation
Proficient in C#, .NET, JavaScript, and SQL.Experience with debugging and performance tuning in Duck Creek applications.Knowledge of Duck Creek integration patterns and plug-ins.Familiarity with RESTful / SOAP APIs.Preferred / Good to Have :
Exposure to Duck Creek Policy or Billing module is a plus.Experience with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git).Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodology.Experience in working with U.S. P&C insurance clients.Understanding of insurance domain concepts (FNOL, Subrogation, Adjuster Workflow, etc.).Education & Certification :
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Duck Creek certifications (Claims Author, Integration, etc.) are a plus.Soft Skills :
