Role Overview
We are looking for a Junior Food Technologist who is hands-on in the lab, curious with ingredients, and excited to experiment across powders, dehydrated products, and extruded formats.
You will support R&D, pilot trials, sensory testing, and help scale products from concept to market.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in development of high-protein and functional food products
- Conduct experiments to improve texture, flavour, solubility & digestibility
- Work with extrusion, drying, blending, baking or similar food processing technologies
- Support scale-up and troubleshooting during production runs
- Conduct stability checks, sensory panels, and nutritional validations
- Maintain documents — formulations, test logs, SOPs, and regulatory data
- Follow hygiene, safety & FSSAI requirements at all times
- Handle sourcing of RM / PM, work with operations and packaging teams as needed
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of ingredient functionality, especially plant proteins, hydrocolloids, spices & natural stabilizing systemsKnowledge of texture analysis, process compatibility & shelf-lifeExperience with extrusion, puffing, dehydrated foods, or dry mixesFamiliar with clean-label concepts and regulatory normsProblem-solver, loves working with hands & data bothCan manage experiments independently with structured documentationEducation & Experience
Bachelor’s / Master’s in : Food Technology | Food Science | Biotechnology | Dairy Tech | or similar💼 0–2 years of experience in food R&D, manufacturing, extrusion, snacks, powders or functional foods(Freshers with strong internships / projects are welcome)
