Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and file a variety of employment-based immigration petitions, including but not limited to :
- O-1A (Individuals with Extraordinary Ability)
- EB-1A (Extraordinary Ability)
- EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver)
- Handle family-based immigration petitions including I-130, I-485 (Adjustment of Status), and related forms.
- Prepare and file non-immigrant visa extensions such as I-539 and associated documentation.
- Draft, review, and respond to Requests for Evidence (RFEs) and Notices of Intent to Deny (NOIDs).
- Conduct legal research and stay updated with immigration policies, regulations, and USCIS guidelines.
- Provide accurate and timely legal advice to clients regarding their immigration options and strategies.
- Maintain client records and manage case deadlines using legal practice management software.
- Communicate effectively with clients, government agencies, and internal teams to ensure smooth case handling.
Required Qualifications :
J.D. degree from an accredited U.S. law school.Active license to practice law in any U.S. state (in good standing).3+ years of hands-on experience in U.S. immigration law, particularly with employment-based and family-based petitions.Strong understanding of USCIS, DHS, and DOL regulations and procedures.Exceptional legal writing, research, and analytical skills.Proficient in preparing immigration forms and legal documents.Strong client communication and case management abilities.Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases efficiently.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience using immigration software tools such as INSZoom, LawLogix, or Docketwise.Familiarity with consular processing, PERM, or business immigration compliance.Prior experience working in a high-volume immigration law firm or corporate immigration setting(ref : iimjobs.com)
