Business Analyst – Reconciliation / Fund Accounting
Location : Pune, Maharashtra, India (Hybrid)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join the Reconciliation Team within Portfolio Accounting. The team ensures accurate daily cash and stock positions for a diverse range of financial products. This role is critical to enhancing reconciliation processes, collaborating closely with operations and technology teams to define and implement future-state solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess current-state reconciliation processes and workflows, including hand-offs with Custody, Middle Office, and Global teams.
- Gather business requirements, draft BRDs, and drive end-to-end execution of technology and process enhancements.
- Act as a liaison between Business Operations and Technology teams to translate business needs into actionable system requirements.
- Prepare and maintain detailed process documentation including current / future state requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity and scalability within reconciliation processes.
- Design, test, and implement new operational procedures to enhance efficiency.
- Assemble and present process status reports and improvement proposals to senior management.
- Coordinate with global teams to ensure consistent workflows and control improvements.
- Maintain strong communication and stakeholder management through regular updates and follow-ups.
- Perform reconciliations of cash accounts between external custodians and internal accounting records.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 7+ years of experience in Project Management / Business Analysis within the financial domain.Proven experience in Fund Accounting and Reconciliations .Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines.Hands-on experience with capital market operations, including transaction types, corporate actions, income / coupons, settlements, and SWIFT payments.Prior experience in process optimization and workflow design preferred.Why Join Us?
