Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Area Sales Manager (ASM) to oversee and grow our sales operations in Guwahati and surrounding territories. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in electrical trade sales, strong leadership in team handling, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive growth through effective channel management and retailer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead sales operations and achieve targets in Guwahati & nearby markets.
  • Build and manage strong distributor and retailer relationships.
  • Develop sales strategies and execute market promotions.
  • Handle, guide, and motivate a sales team to achieve performance goals.
  • Monitor competitor activities and provide market insights.
  • Ensure payment collections and maintain credit discipline.
  • Prepare sales reports and performance analysis for management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
  • Mandatory : Prior experience in sales of electrical products / trade.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong team handling and leadership skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong control on computer systems and cloud-based reporting tools (MS Office, Excel, CRM / Sales software, online dashboards).
  • Ability to work independently and travel within assigned territory.
