Job Description :

looking for senior Mainframe developer with 4+ years of hands on experienced on COBOL Programming, JCL and DB2 Coding and processing, to deliver a critical project for one of our biggest clients in banking domain. The Individual should be passionate about technology, experienced in developing and managing cutting edge technology applications.

Responsibilities :

Develop, test, and maintain high-performance mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and CICS.
Write and debug REXX scripts for automation and tooling.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Perform impact analysis, code reviews, and ensure adherence to best practices.
Provide support for production issues and participate in on-call rotations.
Work closely with QA, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Prepare technical documentation and support system integration testing.

Requirements :

Strong hands-on experience in COBOL, JCL,

Familiarity with VSAM, DB2 and TSO / ISPF.

Solid understanding of SDLC and mainframe batch and online processing.

Experience with debugging tools such as Xpediter, Abend-AID, or File-AID.

Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical problems efficiently.

Exposure to mainframe modernization initiatives or tools (e. g., Micro Focus, API integrations).

Experience in Agile / Scrum methodologies.

Knowledge of change management tools like Endevor or ChangeMan.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Technical Skillset : JCL, Cobol, DB2, VSAM
