Job Description – Software Engineer (Contract-to-Hire)

About the Role

We are hiring experienced Software Engineers for a UK-based Product MNC . This is a Contract-to-Hire (C2H) role with conversion to a permanent position after 9 months based on performance. The ideal candidate should bring strong expertise in Java, Microservices, and Cloud platforms along with hands-on experience in building scalable enterprise solutions.

Mandatory Skills

Java (Core + Advanced)

Microservices Architecture

Spring Boot Framework

Hibernate / JPA

REST API Development

Kafka (Event-driven architecture & messaging systems)

Cloud Platform experience (GCP preferred, AWS or Azure acceptable)

Kubernetes (Containerization & Orchestration)

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices-based applications .

Implement robust, secure, and reusable APIs using Spring Boot and REST .

Integrate applications with Kafka for event-driven data streaming.

Deploy and manage services on cloud platforms (preferably GCP).

Work with Kubernetes for container orchestration and scaling.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Troubleshoot production issues and ensure high system availability.

Good to Have

Experience with CI / CD pipelines .

Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodology .

Exposure to DevOps practices and monitoring tools.
