Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAS DI Developer to join our data management team. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in SAS Data Integration (DI) Studio, with a proven track record of designing, developing, and maintaining robust ETL processes. You will be responsible for ensuring data quality, integrity, and timely delivery for critical business applications.

Key Responsibilities & KRAs :

ETL Development and Maintenance :

Design, develop, and implement efficient and scalable ETL jobs using SAS Data Integration Studio to extract data from various source systems (e.g., databases, flat files, APIs), transform it according to business rules, and load it into target data warehouses.
Optimize existing SAS DI jobs to improve performance, reduce execution time, and enhance data quality.
Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and ETL job failures in a timely manner.

Data Quality and Governance :

Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement data governance best practices.

Develop and maintain data quality checks and validation rules within SAS DI Studio to ensure data accuracy and Documentation :

Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for all ETL processes, including data flow diagrams, business logic, and job :

Work closely with database administrators, business analysts, and report developers to ensure seamless data flow and meet project deadlines.

SAS Environment Management :

Assist in the administration of the SAS environment, including managing metadata, users, and security.

Required Technical Skills & Qualifications :

SAS Expertise :

Extensive experience with SAS Data Integration (DI) Studio.

Proficiency in Base SAS programming (PROC SQL, data step, macros).

Solid understanding of the SAS E-BI platform and its and ETL Concepts :

Strong knowledge of ETL concepts, data warehousing principles, and data modeling (star and snowflake schemas).

Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and querying.

Experience working with various database systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, Systems :

Familiarity with Linux / Unix operating systems, including shell scripting.

Soft Skills :

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
