Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP HANA Database Administrator (DBA) – L3 to manage, optimize, and support large-scale SAP HANA environments. The role involves administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and upgrade activities for SAP HANA landscapes in both on-premise and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

Perform end-to-end administration of SAP HANA systems, including installation, configuration, and upgrades.

Manage HANA database backup, recovery, high availability (HA), and disaster recovery (DR) setups.

Monitor database health, performance tuning, and capacity planning.

Implement and manage security policies, roles, and authorizations in HANA.

Support data provisioning methods (SLT, BODS, SDA, SDI).

Handle system refreshes, migrations, and patching activities.

Troubleshoot complex performance and system issues at L3 level.

Collaborate with SAP Basis, infrastructure, and application teams for smooth operations.

Ensure compliance with ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management).

Provide guidance and mentoring to L1 / L2 support teams.

Required Skills & Experience

8–12 years of experience in SAP HANA DBA administration.

Strong expertise in HANA 1.0 & 2.0, both on-premise and cloud (AWS / Azure / GCP / SAP BTP).

Hands-on experience in HANA installation, upgrade, and patch management.

Expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and workload analysis.

Experience in setting up and maintaining HA / DR solutions (HANA System Replication, DR strategies).

Good knowledge of Linux / Unix OS administration and scripting.

Exposure to SAP NetWeaver / BASIS and integration with SAP applications.

Familiarity with backup tools (Backint, Commvault, NetBackup, etc.).

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for L3-level issues.
