Safety Engineer – Electrical Projects

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Safety Engineer to oversee and implement safety practices for electrical projects at our Hiriyur site. The role involves ensuring compliance with statutory safety norms, minimizing site risks, and promoting a strong safety culture across project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE policies at electrical project sites
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, rules, and regulations
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training programs
• Identify hazards and conduct risk assessments & job safety analysis (JSA)
• Monitor safe work practices for HT/LT electrical works
• Investigate accidents/incidents and prepare reports & corrective actions
• Coordinate with project, site, and contractor teams on safety matters
• Maintain safety documentation, permits, and statutory records
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment at site

Requirements

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering / Safety
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Safety Engineer in electrical projects
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety, construction safety, and site HSE
• Familiar with Indian safety regulations & standards
• Good communication and site coordination skills
• Willing to work on-site at Hiriyur
