Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

Solution Design : Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs for custom applications and extensions on SAP BTP. Design scalable and modular solutions using ABAP and the RAP framework.

Development : Develop custom ABAP programs, classes, interfaces, and enhancements to implement business logic and functionality. Utilize the ABAP RAP framework to build domain-centric data models, business services, and user interfaces for SAP Fiori apps.

Integration : Integrate custom applications and extensions with other SAP and non-SAP systems using various integration technologies such as SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) and SAP Process Integration (PI / PO). Implement RESTful APIs and OData services to expose and consume data.

UI Development : Design and develop user interfaces for custom applications using SAP Fiori elements and SAPUI5. Implement responsive and intuitive user interfaces that enhance user experience and productivity.

Testing and Quality Assurance : Plan and execute unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing for custom applications and extensions. Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of applications under various scenarios.

Documentation : Create and maintain technical documentation including design specifications, code documentation, and user manuals. Provide training and knowledge transfer to end-users and support teams on custom applications and extensions.

Support and Maintenance : Provide ongoing support and maintenance for custom applications and extensions deployed on SAP BTP. Monitor application performance, diagnose technical issues, and implement bug fixes and enhancements as needed.
