The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement integration solutions using IBM MQ, REST APIs, and event-driven patterns.
• Lead application migration efforts from legacy platforms (e.g., AS / 400, mainframe, HP Tandem, on-prem ERP) to cloud-native environments.
• Design and document integration flows, message schemas, and middleware configurations.
• Collaborate with application, data, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless connectivity and interoperability.
• Define and enforce integration standards, security protocols, and performance benchmarks.
• Evaluate and recommend tools for messaging, transformation, and orchestration (e.g., IBM App Connect, MuleSoft, Azure Integration Services).
• Troubleshoot complex integration issues and optimize message throughput and reliability.
• Support DevOps teams in CI / CD pipeline integration for messaging components.
• Mentor developers and junior architects on integration best practices.
