Job Overview :
We are looking for an experienced individual to lead our IT project management division. In this leadership role, you will oversee and manage all client-facing IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with client expectations. You will have a direct impact on project cost management and gross margin optimization, working closely with clients to deliver successful outcomes and drive profitability. This is a strategic role that requires both technical expertise and exceptional leadership skills to manage a team of IT project managers and coordinate the delivery of complex IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the entire IT project lifecycle.
- Build and nurture strong, long-term client relationships, ensuring clear communication, managing expectations, and delivering high-quality results that align with client goals and business objectives.
- Oversee the planning, budgeting, and financial management of all IT projects.
- Ensure projects are delivered within the approved budget, identifying areas for cost optimization and implementing strategies to minimize unnecessary expenses.
- Track project financials, providing regular cost updates and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Work closely with senior leadership and project teams to maximize project profitability.
- Analyze project costs, identify opportunities to improve margins, and drive initiatives that positively impact gross margin without compromising quality or client satisfaction.
- Ensure successful delivery of IT projects on time, within scope, and according to agreed specifications.
- Monitor and manage project performance, resource allocation and timelines to ensure the delivery of high-quality IT solutions that meet both client and organizational standards.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of IT project managers.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance environment, ensuring that all project managers have the tools, resources, and training necessary to succeed.
- Provide guidance on best practices, risk management, and client communication.
- Proactively identify potential risks and challenges that may impact project delivery, cost, or client satisfaction.
- Develop and implement mitigation plans to minimize risks and ensure smooth project execution.
- Regularly communicate project status, financials, and any issues or changes to clients.
- Ensure transparency and maintain strong client relationships through consistent and proactive reporting
Required Skills and Qualifications :
18+ years of experience in IT project / program management with a strong focus on client-facing roles and project delivery.Expertise in project cost management, budget oversight, and cost optimization strategies for IT projects.Strong understanding of gross margin analysis and experience in implementing strategies to maximize profitability.Demonstrated success in managing large-scale IT projects from inception to completion while meeting client requirements and timelines.Leadership experience in managing and developing project teams, with a focus on performance and professional growth.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to navigate complex project challenges.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects effectively.Experience with Agile, Scrum project management methodologies in IT environments.Preferred Qualifications :
