Lead Data Scientist :

We are seeking a Lead Data Scientist to spearhead our AI / ML initiatives and lead a high-performing data science team.

In this role, you will be a key driver of innovation, combining deep hands-on technical expertise with strong leadership to deliver production-ready AI solutions that create significant business value.

You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of our AI products, from ideation and strategy to development, deployment, and monitoring.

This includes driving applied research in advanced areas like Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Computer Vision, and Natural Language Processing (NLP).

You'll also provide technical guidance and mentorship, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning within the team.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities) :

Lead AI Strategy & Vision : Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and business stakeholders, to identify opportunities and define a strategic roadmap for AI solutions that drive business outcomes.
Develop & Deploy Solutions : Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI / ML models and solutions.
Manage the complete project lifecycle, from data preparation and model building to validation, deployment, and performance monitoring.
Drive Innovation : Stay at the forefront of AI research and innovation, especially in LLMs, Generative AI, Prompt Engineering, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and Agentic AI.

Apply this knowledge to build novel and impactful products.

Provide Technical Leadership : Act as a subject matter expert and provide technical guidance and mentorship to senior and junior data scientists.

Establish best practices, frameworks, and accelerators for repeatable and scalable AI solution delivery.

Ensure Quality & Scalability : Guarantee that all solutions are scalable, reliable, and compliant with performance and governance standards.

Communicate & Represent : Represent the data science function in strategic discussions with leadership and clients, effectively communicating complex technical concepts and project progress.

What We're Looking For (Requirements) :

Experience & Background :

6-10 years of total experience in Data Science and AI, with a minimum of 2+ years in a team leadership, management, or mentorship capacity.

Hands-on experience delivering production-grade AI systems from concept to deployment.

Experience in a startup or innovation-focused environment building AI-first products is highly desirable.

Exposure to domains such as BFSI, Telecom, or SaaS is a plus.

Technical Expertise :

Proficiency in Python and SQL.

Strong expertise in the following areas :

Machine Learning & Deep Learning : Architectures like ANN, CNN, RNN, and Transformers.

Natural Language Processing & Generative AI : LLMs, Prompt Engineering, RAG, and Document AI.

Computer Vision : Object Detection, OCR, Image Segmentation, and Vision Transformers.

Hands-on experience with major AI / ML frameworks and libraries, including PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, and Langchain.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools like Docker.

Familiarity with data engineering workflows using ETL, Spark, and Databricks.

Leadership & Soft Skills :

Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

You can effectively collaborate with business and technical teams.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to define and solve complex, ambiguous business problems.

Bonus Points :

Contributions to open-source AI / ML projects or published research papers.

Experience with Vector Databases and Agentic AI frameworks
