Senior Stress Engineer (CAESAR II)

We are hiring for the position of Senior Stress Engineer (CAESAR II) at Mumbai location.

Job Description

Perform and review piping stress analysis using CAESAR II as per ASME B31.3 and other applicable codes / standards (ASME B31.1, API, WRC, etc.).Lead critical piping flexibility studies and recommend routing / support modifications to resolve overstress. Conduct static and dynamic stress analysis including sustained, thermal, wind, seismic, vibration, surge, and PSV relief load cases. Carry out spring hanger design and selection, including vendor document review. Perform equipment nozzle load evaluations (rotating / static) and issue qualification reports.Review vendor drawings / documents for ASME B31.3 compliance.Deliver high-quality stress reports, support recommendations, and calculation notes. Coordinate with piping, mechanical, civil / structural, and layout teams to ensure stress requirements are met.

Skills

B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).8–15 years of experience in piping stress analysis for oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, or power projects. Strong expertise in CAESAR II (mandatory).Must have in-depth knowledge of ASME B31.3 (mandatory).Familiarity with ASME B31.1, API, WRC 107 / 297 and related standards. Familiarity with ASME B31.1, API, WRC 107 / 297 and related standards. Proven experience in spring hanger design, nozzle load evaluation, and flexibility checks. Proficiency in dynamic analysis (seismic, vibration, surge, PSV relief loads, etc.).
