About The Role

BP Energy is establishing a dedicated Customers & Products (C&P) Business and Technology Centre (BTC) in Pune, India, to support its global operations. This centre will be instrumental in delivering enhanced customer experiences, driving innovation, and building scalable capabilities through advanced technology adoption. As part of this initiative, we are seeking a highly skilled Planning Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in optimizing our digital planning systems, including Kinaxis Maestro, ensuring consistent planning practices across global markets. This position involves supporting end users, troubleshooting system issues, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our planning processes. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative, global community and influence the future of BP Energy's planning digital landscape.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor&aposs degree or equivalent in supply chain management, logistics, business, or a related field; a master&aposs degree is preferred. A minimum of five years of proven experience in supply chain planning, with hands-on expertise in demand, supply, and inventory planning, is essential. Experience working with Kinaxis Rapid Response or Kinaxis Maestro as a contributor or author is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills and proficiency in supply chain software, including ERP systems such as SAP ECC, S4 Hana, or JDE. Excellent communication, training, and coaching abilities are required to support user adoption and process standardization. Experience in organizational change management and driving digital transformation initiatives will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • System Expertise & User Support
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Kinaxis Maestro within the PU community, providing hands-on support to end users.
  • Monitor and analyze planning activities to ensure adherence to global standards and configurations.
  • Address user queries related to system functionality, troubleshooting, and process adherence.
  • Act as the first line of support for system defects, triaging issues based on severity and impact, and raising them through established processes.
  • Participate in future digital enhancements, including functionalities such as machine learning, AI, and decision intelligence.
  • Training & Adoption
  • Conduct training sessions for PU users, mentoring them to improve proficiency in Kinaxis Maestro.
  • Collaborate with the global Planning Centre of Excellence to share insights, best practices, and address challenges across geographies.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive training materials, SOPs, and documentation aligned with global planning standards.
  • Support onboarding of new users, guiding them through planning processes within the system.
  • Champion the adoption of new system features and functionalities to facilitate organizational change.
  • Process Optimization & Governance
  • Identify gaps and inefficiencies in planning processes within Kinaxis Maestro.
  • Collaborate with global teams to implement continuous improvements in planning practices.
  • Ensure compliance with global standards, policies, and governance frameworks.
  • Provide feedback to IT and process owners regarding system enhancements and user experience improvements.
  • Authorize minor system adjustments and improvements within certified parameters to meet business needs.
