Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Front-End Developer with experience in ReactJS and Guidewire CustomerEngage (CE) Portal development to deliver engaging and user-friendly digital insurance experiences. This role involves customizing the Guidewire Digital Portal framework , developing modern UI components, and integrating with Guidewire back-end services using REST APIs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain customer-facing web portals using ReactJS and Guidewire CE Portal.
  • Customize Guidewire Digital applications (CustomerEngage / ProducerEngage) by extending base components and integrating with PolicyCenter / BillingCenter / ClaimCenter.
  • Implement responsive and performant UI components aligned with business and branding requirements.
  • Work closely with UX designers, back-end developers, and integration teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
  • Configure and enhance portal back-end services, handling API calls, authentication, and data flow from Guidewire core systems.
  • Optimize application performance and ensure cross-browser and device compatibility.
  • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Document component structure, integration logic, and front-end workflows.
  • Contribute to Agile / Scrum teams by participating in sprint planning, reviews, and stand-ups.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in front-end development with ReactJS (hooks, context API, component lifecycle).
  • 1–2+ years of hands-on experience with Guidewire Digital Portal (CustomerEngage or ProducerEngage).
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs, JSON, and web services integration.
  • Knowledge of Guidewire back-end systems (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter) and how they connect with the portal layer.
  • Familiarity with OAuth2, JWT, or other modern authentication techniques.
  • Strong debugging and performance tuning skills in both browser and application levels.
  • Experience with Git, CI / CD pipelines, and Agile tools like JIRA or Confluence.

    • Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Guidewire Digital Framework 10.x or later.
  • Exposure to cloud deployment environments (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with Redux, Material UI, or other design libraries.
  • Insurance domain knowledge, particularly in policyholder or agent portals.
  • Guidewire certification in Digital Developer track is a plus.
