About the role :

The Director of Accounting is responsible for leading the accounting operations of the company, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, enhancing financial processes, and maintaining impeccable financial records.

This role reports directly to the SVP of Finance and plays a critical part in financial decision-making, supporting the company through strategic insights and management of the accounting team.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to) :

• Oversee all activities of the accounting department, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with all accounting regulations (US and India) and company policies.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Lead the preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and local statutory requirements.
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and report variances, in collaboration with the Director of FP&A.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings, working closely with our external tax partners.
• Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
• Provide leadership and direction to accounting staff, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with the Director of FP&A to analyze financial data and optimize financial performance and business operations.
• Handles all Corporate Secretarial activities.
• Ensures that the organization is compliant with local rules and regulations.
• Manages the operations of both India & US entities.
• Specifically manages the HR administration processes such as Payroll, Provident fund, Tax, 401K and Insurances.
