Job Summary :

A leading alternative asset management and real estate developer company, is keen to hire a qualified Chartered Accountant for the GST Litigation & Advisory role for the designation Senior Associate designation who will be responsible for handling GST litigation and advisory.

Designation : Senior Associate

Roles and Responsibilities :

Lead GST litigation matters, including drafting replies to departmental notices, preparing appeals, and formulating litigation strategies and risk assessments.

Coordinate with legal counsel and external advisors to prepare and present strong legal arguments in high-stake cases.

Maintain comprehensive litigation MIS / reports, ensuring timely tracking, updates, and responses for all ongoing matters.

Conduct technical tax research to support litigation positions and advisory opinions.

Advise business stakeholders on GST implications of transactions, potential disputes, and changes in legislation.

Support GST audits and assessments by compiling relevant documentation and representing the organization before tax authorities.

Manage interactions with consultants for tax litigation and advisory matters.

Oversee limited compliance-related tasks such as ITC reconciliation and reviewing GST return filings for litigation readiness.

Requirements :

Strong knowledge and expertise in GST laws and compliance procedures.

Experience in handling litigation issues by legal and strategy.

Strong communication and inter-personal skills.

Education :

Chartered Accountant (Law Degree would be an added advantage)

Experience :

5+ years in Chartered Accountant

Work type : Work from office

Work schedule :

Monday – Friday (Alternate Saturdays Half day working)
