1Role - Automation testing (Japanese bilingual)

2Required Technical Skill Set - Test Automation Selenium with playwright

3Desired Experience Range - 5 to 10 Years

5Location of Requirement - Chennai

Desired Competencies (Technical / Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have

(Ideally should not be more than 3-5)

  • Must have 3 to 10 years of IT experience in Application Design, Development, Testing and Maintenance projects
  • Knowledge and hands on experience in Software testing life cycle (STLC)
  • Good hands on experience with the automation testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Postman, SoapUI, Perfecto, GenRocket, etc.
  • Hands on in Java / Spring boot and experience with SQL / any DB
  • Demonstrated experience in in-sprint and integration testing within Agile or distributed environments.
  • Understanding of test script versioning, CI / CD integration, and defect management.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate with Customer SMEs from Business & IT, Onsite and Offshore teams
  • Actively involve in Application transition and stabilization phases by aligning to Japan (JST) working hours

Good-to-Have

  • Exposure on Agile methodology, DevOps, Security vulnerability management and P&C Insurance domain knowledge
  • Experience in the scan, build and deployment tools such as Proofpoint, Git, Maven, Jenkins, Jira, ServiceNow, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of database verification (MySQL, PostgreSQL) or performance tests (JMeter).

    Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

    1 Fluent in reading, writing, and conversing in both Japanese & English languages to establish good coordination and communication with Customer, Onsite and Offshore teams

    2 Ready to work in JST morning hours as required to extend the support for Application transition and stabilization phases of Application Testing projects running under STLC model

    3 Actively involve in the primary responsibilities that include but not limited to :

  • Design, develop, and execute automated tests to verify software quality
  • Converting manual test cases into automated scripts, maintaining and enhancing existing automation frameworks, and integrating them with CI / CD pipelines
  • Analyze test results, report defects, and collaborate with development and other teams to ensure software meets quality standards
  • Create testing artifacts, configure test environments, write automation scripts, prepare test summary reports, etc. as required
  • 4 Actively contribute towards various Transformation initiatives (Process maturity, Testing efficiency, Devops automation, Security vulnerability remediation, etc.) to achieve the project goals

    5 Mentoring and guiding junior team members while assigning and tracking the testing tasks for closure without any schedule, quality and cost slippages

    6 Manage and maintain test data, leveraging tools like GenRocket for synthetic data generation.

    7 Ensure test automation supports CI / CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub) and integrates with DevOps practices.

    8 Collaborate with QA leads, developers, and business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into effective automation solutions.
