Manager - Design and Assembly

Experience

15 to 20 Years in Manufacturing Industry

I. Tooling Design & Setup :

Assist in the

Design & Development

of

fixtures, tackles, gauges, and special tools

for Assembly, Testing, Painting, Packing, and Fabrication shops.

Establish new fastening tools

and assembly fixtures.

Ensure proper system is in place for

updated wear part, fixture, special gauges drawings

and system documents.

Process Strategy & NPI Support :

Assist in establishing the

Facility / Process

for new Release Application codes or modified component designs.

Establish best process and practices through

market research

for new tool implementation.

Drive

Continual improvement

through Productivity and Quality improvement activities via

Process Change Management .

Vendor & Resource Management :

Lead

New vendor development

for fixture spares, assembly tools, lifting tackles, and special gauges.

Manage

Resource management

and

coordination with Cross Functional Teams (CFTs) .

Prepare

annual budget

of ATPP tools, fixtures, and spares.

II. System Integration & Digital Data Management

BOM & ERP Management :

Ensure

Timely release of E-BOM (Engineering)

to

M-BOM (Manufacturing)

and verify the accuracy after release.

Ensure implementation of

Manufacturing BOM , assisting in creating new manufacturing groups and splitting of groups.

Coordinate with AE and PPC for

loose item definition in ERP

and

accuracy in Packing reports .

Documentation & Compliance :

Knowledge and hands-on experience of

PLM (Product Lifecycle Management)

for Manufacturing BOM and Engineering BOM management.

Engine and Genset terminology

Knowledge of systems

ISO / TS, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, EHS, Kaizen / 5S and lean manufacturing practices . Preferred knowledge of latest

IOT enabled Tightening tools and technique .

Hands-on experience of

Manufacturing Module in Oracle

(ERP).
