We are a UK-based tech team seeking a dedicated UI / UX Designer to join us as a remote independent contractor. You’ll work closely with developers and product stakeholders to design intuitive, data-centric applications that balance usability, consistency, and clean design. This role requires someone who can operate at both the product discovery level (low-fi wireframes, user journeys) and the pixel-perfect delivery level (final UI in Figma, component libraries, spacing systems).
The Role
What You’ll Do
- Lead UI / UX design in Figma, from wireframes and prototypes to final design assets
- Work with the product team to create low-fidelity wireframes for rapid discovery and iteration
- Translate concepts into clean, logical, scalable UI / UX flows that developers can implement with confidence
- Build and maintain a Figma component library / design system aligned with React best practices
- Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are feasible, consistent, and well-structured
- Conduct design reviews and provide feedback to ensure quality and usability
- Pay attention to micro-interactions, spacing, typography, and accessibility
- Support continuous improvement of product usability and visual consistency
