Must Have Skills : Cloud Network Engineering, AWS / Azure, Firewall, Load Balancer

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of networking experience and hands-on work with cloud platforms like Azure and AWS.
  • Skilled in provisioning and maintaining network systems such as Palo Alto Firewalls, F5 Load Balancers, and other NVAs; strong understanding of LAN, WAN, VPNs, VPC / VNETs, NSGs, and protocols like TCP / IP, UDP, IPSEC, BGP, EIGRP, etc.
  • Proficient in cloud services including AWS EC2, Azure VMs, AKS / ECS / EKS, S3 / Blob Storage, App Gateway, ELB / ALB.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CloudFormation; capable of setting up alerts, diagnosing network issues, and using tools like Wireshark and firewall logs for analysis.
  • Familiar with ITIL / ITSM processes and tools like ServiceNow; experienced in creating and maintaining operational documentation for issue resolution and knowledge transfer.
  • Bonus experience includes DDoS solutions (Cloudflare, Akamai), CLI tools for network appliances, and prior work in Life Sciences or other regulated industries.

Education / Certification

  • Degree level educated, preferably in IT, science, maths or engineering areas.
  • Network certification with Palo Alto such as : PCNSA.
  • AWS CCP or Azure Foundation certification at a minimum.
