Pharmaceutical Maintenance Engineer

1. Job description :

Applications are invited for the position of Maintenance Engineer from Medical device / Pharmaceutical background at EffecMed Private Limited for its New Manufacturing facility (ISO Cleanrooms) at Rabale, Navi Mumbai location.

2. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include :

a. Perform preventive, predictive, and Breakdown / Corrective maintenance on Plant utilities (e.G. HVAC, ELVs, Purified Water systems, ETP, etc), Facility equipment (e.G., Autoclave, LT panel, Compressors etc.) and MEP systems.

b. Diagnose and resolve Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatic, and Instrumentation issues to minimize Downtime, saving Energy and improve Efficiency of Plant Machinery.

c. Prepare and Maintain records of maintenance, calibration, and validation as per audit and compliance requirements.

d. Participate in engineering activities for process improvements and new equipment commissioning, qualification (IQ / OQ / PQ) and validation activities.

e. Ensure adherence to EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards during maintenance operations.

f. Coordinate with production and quality teams to plan maintenance schedules with minimal disruption.

g. Manage spare parts inventory, equipment documentation, and vendor coordination for technical services.

h. Provide technical training to technicians and operators on equipment maintenance and safe practices.

3. Essential Qualifications and experience :

a. Diploma / Degree in Engineering (only of Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or HVAC related field) with minimum 1.5 to 2 Years of experience in medical devices or pharmaceutical industry.

b. Proven experience in preferably in the medical devices or pharmaceutical industry with familiarity of cleanroom ISO, cGMP, EHS standards.

c. Hands on experience with equipment and facility maintenance for MEP, HVAC, ELVS, EHS, Instrumentation & Automation, Plant Utility and Cleanroom equipment.

d. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

e. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach.

f. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and strong interpersonal / networking skills.

g. Strong work Ethics, Collaborative and True team player.

4. Salary :

The salary will be negotiated as per industry standards.

5. Place of work :

a. Rabale, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

b. May require occasional overtime for work.

c. Exposure to cleanroom and controlled manufacturing environments.
