Role Overview :

This position based in our Mumbai office is for a full-time Senior Accountant for Finance Department based in India. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the companies’ financial operations in Mumbai for our multinational group, ensuring accuracy and compliance with international standards and local regulations. This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, experience with international tax laws, and excellent communication and leadership skills to manage junior staff and collaborate with various international teams. The Senior Accountant will be instrumental in maintaining financial integrity and supporting strategic decisions.

Role and Responsibilities :

↘ Overseeing many aspects of the group’s financial operations, including general accounting and financial reporting and banking.

↘ Ensuring adherence to international accounting standards (like IFRS or US GAAP) and local Indian tax laws and regulations.

↘ Managing accounting tasksrelated to international business transactions, including currency conversions, transfer pricing, and international tax implications and inter- company transactions.

↘ Preparing and reviewing financial statements, reports,and analysis for both localand international stakeholders.

↘ Collaborating with externalauditors to ensure smooth and accurate audit processes.

↘ Managing tax relatedactivities, including tax planning, tax filings and ensuring

compliance with tax regulations.

↘ Mentoring and managing junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support in their daily tasks.

↘ Working closely with other departments, such as sales,operations and legal,to support international business initiatives and ensure financial alignment.

↘ Demonstrating expertise in accounting software (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.

↘ Analysing financial data,identifying discrepancies and implementing solutions to resolve accounting issues.

Required Qualifications :

↘ Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is essential. A professional accounting qualification is highly preferred.

↘ Significant experience in accounting, specifically with international operations and financial reporting with a minimum of 5 years, team management.

↘ In-depth knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS or US GAAP), tax laws and experience with accounting software and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc)

↘ Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills are

essential.

↘ Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage junior staff, to meet tight deadlinesand manage multiplepriorities efficiently.

↘ Keen eye for detail and ability to maintain accuracy in financial records. High standards of integrity, ownership and precision.
