Software Engineer in Test

We are seeking a highly skilled professional who can seamlessly contribute as both a Developer and an SDET. The role focuses on building and testing a new AWS-based Lakehouse environment, transitioning from ODS → Delta Lake → Apache Iceberg. This is a critical, fast-paced role that requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and leadership skills.

Experience - 5 to 8 years

Job Location - Pune / Bangalore / Chennai

Key Responsibilities :

Contribute to both development and testing activities as required.

Design, develop, and validate data pipelines for the new AWS-based Lakehouse.

Perform complex data validations, metadata checks, and transformations .

Collaborate with onsite and offshore teams to ensure smooth delivery of critical projects.

Provide leadership to offshore SDET counterparts , including mentoring, guidance, and extended support coordination.

Work independently with accountability, driving tasks to closure in a high-paced environment.

Required Skills & Experience :

Strong technical expertise in SQL, PySpark, and Python .

Hands-on experience with AWS services (EMR, Glue, S3).

Familiarity with Delta Lake and Apache Iceberg .

Good understanding of Kafka / streaming platforms (preferred).

Strong analytical mindset with the ability to deep-dive into data and derive meaningful insights, beyond running queries mechanically.

Prior experience in leading or mentoring offshore teams is highly desirable.
