Key Responsibilities (Software Side)
- Develop and tune control algorithms (PID, LQR, adaptive / robust control).
- Build dynamic models of mechanical / electrical / aerospace systems in
MATLAB / Simulink.
Perform stability, frequency response, and disturbance analysis.Implement algorithms in embedded platforms (C / C++, Simulink auto-code).Conduct system identification and parameter estimation.Run SIL, MIL and HIL simulations before hardware deploymentKey Responsibilities (Hardware & Practical Side)
Select and integrate sensors (IMU, GPS, etc.).Select actuators (servos, BLDC motors, ESCs, hydraulic / pneumatic actuators).Work with microcontroller boards (STM32, PX4, etc.).Interact with power electronics — ESCs, motor drivers, DC-DC converters, protectioncircuits.
Calibrate sensorsImplement real-time communication ( for example through MAVLink).Conduct bench-testing for actuators, motors, and control loops.Use oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, function generators for debugging.Develop test setup for motors, servo dynamics, propulsion testing, and load-test setups.Validate closed-loop control performance on actual hardware (tuning, step response,frequency tests).
Perform failure analysis.Ensure safety interlocks, emergency stop logic, and redundancyQualifications
B.Tech / M.Tech / Ph.D. in, Aerospace, Control Systems, Mechatronics, or related field.Experience with both control theory and embedded / real hardware integration.Hands-on experience with tools such as oscilloscopes, power analyzers, DAQ systems.Proficiency in MATLAB / Simulink, C / C++, embedded debuggingSoft Skills
Strong analytical skills.Ability to work with interdisciplinary teams.Clear documentation and communication.
