Job description

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director Sales to lead our sales strategies, processes, and outcomes for both Project and Service businesses at Sparta Systems. This pivotal role will drive the attainment of order targets, enhance sales efficiency, and build a best-in-class sales function, collaborating closely with the Leadership team to accelerate organic growth and achieve Annual Operating Plan (AOP) commitments.

Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Lead the end-to-end cycle of selling strategies, processes, and outcomes for both Projects and Service businesses.
  • Ensure attainment of order targets and sales efficiency outcomes (sales results vs. sales costs).
  • Build a best-in-class sales function, leveraging standard processes and improving speed to execute flawlessly on initiatives.
  • Accelerate organic growth by identifying and pursuing new customers and opportunities in new or existing sites.
  • Provide accurate forecasts of orders and growth opportunities.
  • Strategize and execute for the region to achieve sales results, leveraging strong customer relationships.
  • Allocate internal and external resources effectively and approve all goals for sales professionals in the assigned area.
  • Partner with marketing to translate Strategic Plans (STRAP) into actionable deployment plans.
  • Coordinate sales activities and manage resources to maximize results from identified sales opportunities.
  • Ensure approved sales processes are followed and company procedures and systems are effectively deployed.
  • Provide leadership and appropriate sign-off for strategic sales pursuits.
  • Lead planning and sales forecasting processes, monitoring and tracking key sales performance metrics.
  • Manage customer value and pricing, conduct market dynamics analysis, and facilitate competitive strategy planning with the team.
  • Drive key growth initiatives with the sales team and develop strong relationships with existing and potential key customers.
  • Inspire, motivate, and provide strategic vision to a group of sales managers that consistently deliver results.
  • Attract, mentor, and develop team members in support of sales excellence, encouraging learner-driven development.
  • Responsible for training, coaching, and certification of sales skills and processes.
  • Identify strengths and weaknesses of the sales team and build a high-performing culture.
  • Lead change for the betterment of the team and provide ongoing performance management.
  • Develop sales quotas and track / report on performance.

Skills Requirement :

  • Proven expertise in building successful sales teams and leaders.
  • Demonstrated success in coaching sales leaders engaged in complex sales and pursuits.
  • Capability to balance short-term results with long-term strategy.
  • Demonstrated credibility at the executive level both internally and externally.
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed, multi-national organization.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking, strongly oriented toward achieving objectives.
  • Ability to effect change and drive results through leadership, collaboration, and influence.
  • Self-motivated with a strong focus on results and a sense of urgency.
  • Direct experience with Salesforce.com and a background in data analytics.
  • Experience with software direct-to-market sales.
  • Industry experience in Building Technology Projects & Services.
  • QUALIFICATION :

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
