Job Summary : We are looking for a
proactive QA Manager
with
3–7 years of relevant experience
in food safety systems (FSSC 22000, HACCP, etc.), preferably in the
30–35 years age group , capable of independently handling audits, documentation, and customer interactions.The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in implementing, maintaining, and auditing food safety and quality systems such as FSSC 22000 and HACCP. They should be capable of independently managing statutory, third-party, and customer audits and serve as the quality interface with key customers.
Key Responsibilities :
Quality Systems & Compliance
Lead the implementation and maintenance of FSSC 22000, HACCP, and other food safety management systems.
Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements as per FSSAI and other applicable standards.
Prepare and update the Food Safety Manual, SOPs, and supporting documentation.
Manage internal audits, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and management review meetings.
Audits & Certifications
Independently manage and coordinate FSSC 22000, HACCP, ISO 22000, and other third-party audits.
Prepare and face customer audits; ensure timely closure of audit NCs.
Maintain audit readiness across the plant and drive a quality-first culture.
Customer Coordination
Act as the point of contact for customer QA teams for technical queries, complaint resolution, and specifications.
Share COAs, product documentation, and traceability records with customers.
Organize and lead plant visits and product evaluations for customer QA audits.
Team & Cross-Functional Coordination
Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Stores, and HR to ensure system compliance and hygiene practices.
Train the plant team on hygiene, GMP, GHP, food safety, and quality systems.
Build and lead a small QA / QC team for daily monitoring and compliance.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain and update master documents, traceability records, and quality logs.
Review and analyze quality KPIs, customer complaints, and internal deviations.
Generate daily / weekly / monthly reports for management.
Key Requirements :
B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Food Technology, Microbiology, or related field.
3–5 years of experience in the food industry (preferably flour milling, bakery ingredients, or FMCG).
Proven experience in implementing and maintaining FSSC 22000 and HACCP.
Experience in handling customer and certification audits.
Strong documentation, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred Skills :
Internal Auditor certification in FSSC / ISO 22000.
Knowledge of GMP, GHP, Pest Control, Allergen Management.
Proficiency in Excel, documentation systems, and root cause analysis tools (5 Why, Fishbone, etc.)
