Assistant - Transport Planner

Responsibilities

• Assist in Transport Planning projects including but not limited to transport assessments, business cases, public transport, active travel projects, etc.
• Support collecting, cleaning, and analysing large datasets, including traffic, travel demand, and geospatial data.
• Develop data-driven insights to support transport planning, modelling, and policy decisions.
• Utilize Python, Power BI, and Excel for statistical analysis, data visualization, and reporting.
• Perform spatial data analysis and visualization using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
• Create and manage geospatial content, including maps, apps, and data, using Survey123 and Story Map.
• Prepare technical reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders.
• Automate data workflows and improve efficiency using scripting and programming.
• Analyze and interpret complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and other visualization tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
• Implement and manage data workflows and automation using Power Platform and Azure Cloud Services.
• Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous validation and transformation processes.
• Support the management and timely completion of assigned tasks while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Communicate findings and recommendations effectively through clear, concise reports and presentations.
• Work within project constraints, such as time, budget, and resources, ensuring efficient project delivery.
• Assist in mentoring and supporting graduate members of the team.
• Engage in regular collaboration with UK-based transport planners and project teams.
• Ensure Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices, following company policies.
