We are seeking a seasoned business leader to spearhead SabPaisa's government business in West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Bihar, and the North Eastern states.
This is a high-impact role for someone who can unlock large-scale digital payments adoption within the government sector, forge deep institutional relationships, and drive exponential growth.
As the Zonal Head, you will own the P&L, lead a strong sales team, and be at the forefront of SabPaisa's AI-first transformation in the government payments space.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth & Market Leadership
- Design and execute market-specific growth strategies to achieve 5x revenue growth in the government payments vertical.
- Identify untapped opportunities in state government, PSU, and municipal segments; convert them into long-term partnerships.
- Build SabPaisa's brand positioning as the most trusted partner for government digital payment solutions in Eastern & North Eastern India.
Government Business Development
Lead complex sales cycles with government bodies, NIC, state nodal agencies, and public institutions.Drive adoption of SabPaisa's payment gateway, hybrid collection solutions, and digital banking offerings.Manage large-scale RFP / tender processes and win strategic mandates.Channel & Partner Ecosystem Management
Strengthen and expand relationships with banks (PSU & private) and strategic resellers to penetrate the government segment.Onboard and optimize new partners to widen reach and enhance service delivery.AI-First Sales Enablement
Champion AI-driven lead scoring, predictive analytics, and digital engagement tools for smarter, faster closures.Foster a data-first, innovation-led culture in the team.Leadership & Team Development
Lead, inspire, and upskill a high-performance sales team with clear targets and ownership.Monitor KPIs, ensure accountability, and reward high performance.Industry & Stakeholder Engagement

Experience
10+ years in sales leadership roles in fintech, digital payments, or government business units of major banks / NBFCs.Proven track record in government business acquisition in East & North East India.Experience in handling large government deals, managing complex sales cycles, and influencing high-level Graduate or MBA (Business, Marketing, Finance preferred).Skills & Attributes
Deep network of government and PSU decision-makers in Eastern India.Strong knowledge of digital payments, banking technology, and government procurement processes.Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking skills.Adaptable, entrepreneurial mindset with an ability to thrive in a fast-changing, tech-driven environment.Familiarity with AI-enabled sales tools is a plus.Why Join Us?
