The Role
You will be responsible for :
- 24 / 7 Support handling L1 & L2 tickets
- Installed and configured multi-nodes fully distributed Cassandra cluster.
- Involved in Cassandra Cluster environment administration that includes adding and removing cluster nodes, cluster capacity planning, performance tuning, cluster Monitoring, Troubleshooting.
- Good Knowledge on Backing up and Restoring data (Taking Snapshots, Deleting Snapshots, Enabling Incremental backups, Restoring from Snapshots)
- Responsible to manage data coming from different sources.
- Involved in Backing up and Restoring data.
- Analyse Client Systems and Gather requirements.
- Design technical solutions based out of the Client needs and systems architecture
- Configured Fair Scheduler to provide service-level agreements for multiple users of a cluster.
- Managing nodes on Cassandra cluster connectivity and security.
- Involved in writing Java API's for interacting with the Cassandra.
- Used Cassandra as the data storage
- Supporting as an Couchbase / PostgreSQL Database Administrator for Cloud and AWS servers
- Performing DB administration tasks such as Node specific, Couchbase installation and configuration, Backup and Restore, Views query writing in Couchbase
- Performing DB administration tasks such as PostgreSQL logical database server administration, Database HBA configuration (User & Schema Maintenance), Replication setup, Backup and restore and L1 / L2 administration in PostgreSQL
- Monitoring DB Performance and DB tuning
- Providing OnCall support on weekends for all the database technologies which is mandatory
- Excellent customer service skills and positive attitude as demonstrated by receiving employee of the month in two consecutive quarters
