Job description

We're looking for a highly skilled  L3 Infrastructure Engineer  to join our team. This isn't just a server, network, or virtualization role; it's a dynamic position for a seasoned professional who can handle all three. You will be a top-tier escalation point for complex issues, driving solutions from root cause analysis to final resolution. Responsibilities

As a senior engineer, you'll be the backbone of our critical infrastructure. You'll tackle our toughest challenges and ensure our systems are resilient, secure, and performant. Your responsibilities will include :

  • Serving as a senior escalation point  for complex infrastructure issues across our server, virtualization, and network environments.
  • Leading troubleshooting and resolution  for high-severity incidents, ensuring rapid service restoration and minimal downtime.
  • Managing and optimizing  our diverse infrastructure, including :
  • Microsoft Windows Server :  Providing advanced administration and troubleshooting for Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • VMware :  Maintaining and enhancing our vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter platforms for high availability and performance.
  • Networking :  Configuring, managing, and troubleshooting devices from  Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer)  and  Cisco (Meraki, legacy routing / switching) .
  • Conducting in-depth root cause analysis (RCA)  and developing comprehensive post-incident reports.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams  to design and implement proactive solutions, upgrades, and migrations.
  • Creating and maintaining robust documentation , including runbooks and knowledge base articles.
  • Mentoring and providing knowledge transfer  to L1 and L2 support teams.

Qualifications

We're seeking a candidate with a strong background and a passion for technology. The ideal candidate will have :

  • 10+ years of experience  in IT infrastructure roles with a strong focus on servers, virtualization, and networking.
  • Advanced expertise  in Linux and Windows Server (2012-2022).
  • Deep knowledge  of VMware vSphere / ESXi / vCenter.
  • Extensive hands-on experience  with Fortinet and Cisco networking devices.
  • A solid understanding of network protocols  (TCP / IP, VLANs, VPN, routing, switching, firewall rules).
  • Proven ability to lead Major Incidents  (P1 / MIM) under pressure.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

    • Highly Desirable Skills :

  • Experience with  Linux  administration (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu).
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, and Change Management).
  • Certifications such as  VMware VCP ,  Fortinet NSE ,  CCNP , or  Microsoft MCSE / MCSA .
  • Experience with  hybrid cloud  environments (Azure, AWS).
  • Exposure to monitoring and automation tools (e.g., ScienceLogic, ServiceNow, SolarWinds).
