Job Summary
The Chef de Partie – Indian is responsible for managing a designated section of the Indian kitchen, ensuring consistent food quality, taste, and presentation. The role involves supervising junior kitchen staff, maintaining hygiene standards, and supporting smooth kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle and manage the Indian kitchen section independently
- Prepare and present authentic Indian dishes as per standard recipes
- Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation
- Supervise, guide, and train Commis Chefs and kitchen helpers
- Coordinate with Sous Chef and Head Chef for daily operations
- Ensure timely food preparation and service during peak hours
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety
- Monitor stock levels, assist in requisitions, and control wastage
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment
- Follow hotel / restaurant SOPs and safety guidelines
