Senior.NET Backend Developer (4+ Yr) with Ruby & Rails

Senior .NET Backend Developer (6–10 Years) Location : Remote

Role Type : Contract

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior .NET Backend Developer to lead the modernization of an existing Ruby on Rails platform into a robust .NET 6+ / ASP.NET Core microservices architecture . The ideal candidate will take ownership of backend design, API development, database migration, CI / CD enhancements, and technical mentorship.

Key Responsibilities Lead the migration from Ruby on Rails to a .NET 6+ / ASP.NET Core architecture.

Design and build scalable RESTful APIs , microservices, and backend systems.

Drive database migration, performance tuning, and schema optimization (SQL Server / PostgreSQL).

Build and maintain CI / CD pipelines using Azure DevOps .

Mentor junior backend developers and support team growth.

Use AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot and Windsurf to enhance productivity.

Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives via Jira.

Required Skills & Experience 6–10 years of hands-on backend development experience.

Expertise in C#, .NET 6+ / ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core .

Strong understanding of Ruby on Rails applications and migration workflows.

Deep experience in relational databases ( SQL Server, PostgreSQL ).

Strong command of Azure DevOps CI / CD pipelines.

Experience using AI coding tools (Copilot, Windsurf, or similar).

Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
