Designation : Engineer (SW) Manager (SW)

JD : WLAN QA Automation

Experience as a Python Developer, with expertise in test automation using Pytest / PyATS / Robot Framework.
Strong knowledge on Flask framework and API automation.
Knowledge in Version control systems (e.g., Git).
Strong Experience in L2 / L3 Networking / Wireless protocols

Responsibilities :

Design and Develop Automation Frameworks :

Build and maintain scalable and reusable automation frameworks using Pytest, PyATS, or Robot Framework.

Implement modular test suites to support automated WLAN feature testing.

Test Planning and Execution :

Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for wireless LAN features and networking protocols (L2 / L3).

Conduct regression, performance, and functional testing of WLAN solutions.

API & Backend Test Automation :

Automate REST APIs using Flask and related tools to validate service-level functionality.

Ensure robust API test coverage and CI / CD integration.

Code & Version Control :

Manage source code using Git, ensuring code quality, version control, and collaboration with distributed teams.

Debugging and Troubleshooting :

Analyze logs and troubleshoot issues related to WLAN, networking protocols, and automation test failures.

Use tools like Wireshark, tcpdump, etc., to capture and analyze traffic.

Cross-functional Collaboration :

Work closely with development teams to understand product architecture and features.

Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and daily scrums to ensure alignment on quality goals.

Documentation and Reporting :

Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test execution reports, and automation scripts.

Provide regular status updates and raise risks proactively.

Mentorship (for Sr. Engineer / Manager Roles)

Mentor junior engineers in automation practices, code reviews, and WLAN protocol understanding.

Contribute to process improvements and test strategies across QA teams.
