About the Role

As a Career Counsellor at IIDE’s Mumbai campus, you will play a key role in helping students and professionals identify the right digital marketing programs that align with their career goals. The role involves understanding learners’ aspirations, counseling them on suitable courses, and ensuring smooth end-to-end admission processes. You will be responsible for driving conversions, maintaining relationships, and supporting learners throughout their decision-making journey.

What You’ll Do

  • Student Counseling & Career Guidance :

○ Counsel prospective students and working professionals on IIDE’s digital marketing programs.

○ Conduct one-on-one career guidance sessions to understand learners’ interests, strengths, and goals.

○ Assist students in selecting suitable programs to enhance their professional growth.

  • Sales & Lead Conversion :
  • ○ Manage inbound and outbound leads, nurturing them through consultative conversations.

    ○ Convert inquiries into enrollments while maintaining a high conversion ratio.

    ○ Achieve weekly and monthly enrollment and revenue targets.

  • Relationship Management :
  • ○ Build strong relationships with prospective learners and provide personalized guidance.

    ○ Follow up consistently with interested candidates to drive engagement and ensure decision closure.

    ○ Maintain accurate lead and follow-up data in CRM systems.

  • Admissions Coordination :
  • ○ Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and documentation for new students.

    ○ Provide assistance in fee collection and education loan coordination when required.

  • Additional Duties :
  • ○ Contribute to ongoing process improvements in the admissions and counseling journey.

    ○ Perform other responsibilities aligned with the goals of the Admissions department.

    Who You Are

  • Must-Have :
  • ○ 1–8 years of experience in academic or career counseling, admissions, or education sales.

    ○ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    ○ Strong interpersonal and persuasive abilities.

    ○ Goal-oriented and able to work under pressure to meet targets.

  • Should Have :
  • ○ Experience using CRM tools for lead management.

    ○ Strong organizational and follow-up skills.

    ○ Ability to understand student psychology and career aspirations.

  • Nice to Have :
  • ○ Prior experience in the education or EdTech industry.

    ○ Familiarity with digital marketing concepts and career pathways.

    Expected Deliverables / KPIs

    Achieve weekly and monthly enrollment and revenue targets.

    Maintain strong lead conversion and retention rates.

    Ensure consistent follow-ups and timely closure of admissions.

    Deliver exceptional student counseling experiences aligned with IIDE’s standards.

    Requirements

    Required Experience and Qualifications : 10 years of work experience in sales Must have managed a team of 30+ Excellent communication and management skills Deep understanding of conversion rates Strong sales orientation and customer focus Working knowledge of CRMs and Sales automation tools Must be proficient in MS-Office Great objection handling skills Expected KPIs Maintaining hygiene in lead funnel to arrive at desired sales Improving and maintaining sales conversion rates Monitoring calls and sales counselors’ productivity. Ensuring team productivity is at its highest to achieve monthly targets
