Linux System Administrator - RHEL / CentOS

Description : Responsibilities :

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL / CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian preferred).
• Manage system resources, including CPU, memory, and storage.
• Perform system upgrades, patching, and security hardening.
• Implement and maintain high-availability configurations (clustering, failover).
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Troubleshoot complex system problems and provide timely resolutions.
• Develop and maintain shell scripts (Bash, Python, Perl) for system automation and administration tasks.
• Automate routine tasks using configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Implement and maintain security best practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection / prevention systems (IDS / IPS), and access control lists (ACLs).
• Respond to security incidents and perform necessary remediation actions.
• Manage and maintain virtualized environments (VMware, KVM, VirtualBox).
• Work with networking teams to troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth system operations.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, including cloud-based Linux deployments and management.
