Project Manger - Pharma - Remote - 12 month contract, extendable
The Project Manager will lead the delivery of SAP S / 4HANA initiatives within a pharmaceutical environment, ensuring alignment with business processes, compliance requirements, and strategic transformation goals. The role will include overseeing upgrades to RISE with SAP, managing third-party system integrations, and ensuring smooth adoption of new solutions across the organization.
This project delivers streamlined, compliant, and integrated business processes to enhance efficiency and support long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage SAP S / 4HANA projects from initiation through to delivery, with a focus on upgrades, integrations, and process improvements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to capture requirements, align solutions with business needs, and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate system testing, pre go-live readiness, cutover, and post go-live support to ensure successful delivery with minimal business disruption.
- Manage risks, issues, and dependencies, and drive adoption of resolutions across business and IT teams.
- Oversee process mapping, documentation, and compliance management in line with pharmaceutical standards (e.g., GxP).
- Support integration efforts with third-party systems and interface solutions .
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to cross-functional business and technical teams.
- Act as an investigative lead, analyzing system or process issues and driving structured solutions.
- Ensure effective project governance, reporting, and communication with all stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Project Manager in the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector , with strong awareness of regulated environments.In-depth knowledge of SAP S / 4HANA , with experience in commercial business flows and integration projects .Familiarity with RISE with SAP migrations and upgrades .Experience managing third-party integration projects and interface solutions .Strong background in process mapping, documentation management, and change management .Excellent communication and collaboration skills – proven ability to manage cross-functional teams.Ability to deliver training and support knowledge adoption across business and technical teams.Strong problem-solving and investigative skills, with the ability to provide structured resolutions.Good to have : Experience with SAP WM or EWM implementations or support.
