As an Associate in the ESG Reporting and Controller Team, you will be responsible for supporting the preparation, review and assurance of JPMorgan's voluntary and regulatory ESG disclosures. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to details and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. The ideal candidate will have experience in finance, audit, regulatory reporting and a passion for sustainability / ESG initiatives. Your work will span across diverse areas such as finance, risk, legal and human resources requiring close collaboration with various teams and making you an integral part of our efforts to support the success of our businesses, clients and employees.

As the Environmental, Social and Governance landscape evolves and becomes increasingly important for our internal and external stakeholders (clients, shareholders, regulators), the firm has established a firm-wide ESG Reporting & Controller Team to manage end-to-end controls, consistency and accountability for reporting processes across the firm.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Perform press-ready audit, independent review and tie-out of all key metrics in JPMorgan's voluntary report - Sustainability Report
  • Participate in activities to support the preparation and review of external ESG reporting across jurisdictions globally and ensure consistency across reporting and disclosures
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in production of ESG-related metrics (e.g. Financed Emissions, Sustainable Development Target etc.) accurately and on timely basis
  • Participate along with other firm wide teams on the implementation of required ESG related disclosures including any SEC and / or Regulatory Reporting
  • Identify opportunities to enhance reporting processes, documentation and control standards
  • Utilize advanced excel skills for data analysis and reporting
  • Work with technology partners and project managers in building detailed requirements for development of strategic infrastructure to support business's reporting needs
  • Assist in ESG-related departmental initiatives and contribute to components of broader sustainability projects as needed.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills :

  • 3+ years in a finance organization with exposure to audit, legal, product control, legal entity control and / or regulatory reporting
  • Operate with a controls mindset with strong organizational skills, time management, problem solving, written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with good command over English
  • Team player with an ability to successfully operate in a hybrid 4-day per week in office work environment, including the ability to work effectively across diverse functions, locations and businesses
  • Self-starter with a demonstrated passion for ESG, sustainability or development finance
  • Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills :

  • Advanced Excel (INDEX MATCH, Vlookup, Pivots, Macros etc) and proficiency in PowerPoint; experience with Alteryx, Tableau a plus
  • Experience in Product Control, Financial Control and / or knowledge of ESG reporting / SEC reporting / Regulatory Reporting a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA
  • Experience with report production in Workiva (Wdesk) is a plus
