Carrying out the design of Fire Protection System & Plumbing Drainage (PHE) system for Data Centers, Electric Vehicle manufacturers, EV battery manufacturer’s, Paint and industrial projects as per the applicable codes and standards and ensuring quality deliverables with safety in design.
Education - B.E / B.Tech
Experience –
- Bachelor’s degree in fire engineering, mechanical engineering, or any related engineering field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 5-15 years Experience in design Consultancy or Contractor (Essential)
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Navisworks is essential
- Experience with any 3D modeling tool like SmartPlant 3D or REVIT, , Bluebeam, Knowledge of Auto Pipe, Autocad Plant 3D will be an added advantage
Responsibilities
FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM
Responsible for the design and specification of fire suppression systems including wet- pipe, dry-pipe, pre-action, deluge, fire pumps, and storage tanks on a wide variety of project types.Knowledge of special systems such as foam, spray, mist, clean agent, wet / dry chemical, and carbon dioxide is preferredKeep up to date with latest industry practices, codes & standards like IS, NBC, NFPA, ISO, ASMEPerform hydraulic calculations and work with outside resources to incorporate special hazard systems Preparation of data sheets and material requisitionCoordinate with other disciplines, clients, and other stake holders to develop a clash free system designResponsible to manage the assigned scope within agreed schedule and budget.Review contractor shop drawings, field inspections, and testing and commissioning reports. Coordinate with all disciplines for ensuring the package battery limits and incorporation of Vendor dataReview the 3D model on Navisworks and provide feedback to all the stakeholdersResponsible for overall technical management / co-ordination with Contractors and site team as required to resolve RFI’sPHE SYSTEM
Responsibility for the overall design of Plumbing & fire protection systems & deliverables,including Concept Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Tender Design / Documentation (including Technical Specifications, BOQ, Schedules and Drawings)Experience in design of water supply, sewerage and drainage system including necessary calculations. Design of comprehensive underground sewerage and storm water systems. Sizing and selecting of location for STP , WTP & water tanks. Detail drawing layout for internal & external water and drainage system.Establishing water demand, sizing, and location of water storage.Design and Selection of Hot water system, Sizing of grease trap, organic wasteconvertor.Strong Plumbing experience in design of industrial, residential, commercial and HotelprojectSizing and routine of water distribution system (Cold and Hot water).Sizing, selection and space planning of water and sewage treatment plant.Design and sizing of rainwater harvesting and disposable system.Design and sizing of storm and sewer drainage.Organize, assign, and delegate necessary engineering and design tasks to produceconstruction documents in conjunction with a team of engineers and designers.Manage scope, budget, and schedule to meet project goals.Coordinate and collaborate real time with other disciplines such as electrical, structural,architectural and process to develop designsIndependently lead plant design activities as an area / system leader and coordinate withmulti-discipline designers.Ability to design complete distribution systems to current legislation and codes of practicefor various type of buildings based on applicable Codes and StandardsPerform quality review checks for 2D / 3D modelling and Plumbing & deliverables.Keep up to date with latest industry practices, codes & standards like IS, NBC, IBC,NFPA, IPC, UPC, CPHHEO manuals.Review contractor shop drawings, field inspections, and testing and commissioningInterested candidate share your cv at tanmoy.c@ipstechinc.com or call at 8655943935.
