Staff AI Engineer Role

We're looking for a highly skilled Staff AI Engineer to join our team and help us transform mental health support by providing instant and private 24 / 7 access.

This role plays a pivotal part in shaping the future of mental health technology, requiring a combination of research-to-production expertise with platform thinking.

You'll be responsible for leading the end-to-end model lifecycle, from problem framing to rollout and monitoring, working closely with clinical psychologists to ensure the efficacy of Yuna's conversational AI.

• Main Responsibilities :
• Lead the end-to-end model lifecycle : problem framing, data curation, modeling, evals, rollout, and monitoring
• Work closely with clinical psychologists ensuring the efficacy of Yuna's conversational AI
• Design agentic flows and safe retrieval for mental-health use cases
• Build and own the evaluation flywheel : benchmarks, judge models, rubrics for conversational quality, ability to help, and safety
• Implement alignment & safety layers tuned to clinical guidelines
• Optimize for latency, cost, and quality
• Partner tightly with product, sales, and users to scope new features
• Establish LLMOps : datasets, prompts / checkpoints / versioning, observability, drift monitoring, and incident response

About This Role :

This is a remote role requiring at least 4 hours overlap with PST. You'll have the opportunity to work closely with clinical psychologists, product teams, and users to create cutting-edge mental health technology.
