Position : Sr. Finance Manager

Role : Finance Business Partner

Location : India

Reports to : Global Head of FP&A

Contract Period : 3 Months (Extendable)

Summary

This role serves as a critical link between finance and regional business leaders, CFOs, and extended teams. You will provide financial clarity for investments, challenge assumptions, and help maximize strategic value and ROI. This role isn't just about controlling costs — it’s about enabling smart growth, optimizing technology investments, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring initiatives directly support the organization’s bottom line and strategic objectives.

You will also work closely with the Head Office and report to top management and investors, requiring strong expertise in balance sheet analysis, financial due diligence, and high-level reporting . The role will manage the budget planning cycle and offer key financial insights to drive informed decision-making across multiple regions globally.

Partnering for Strategic Impact

  • Collaborate with regional business leadership, CFOs, and extended operational teams to shape budgets and investment strategies and track performance against strategic technology roadmaps.
  • Evaluate business cases behind key investments and initiatives, assessing their potential to drive revenue, improve efficiency, or enhance competitive advantage.
  • Provide a commercial and financial lens on projects and operations, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals and value delivery.
  • Liaise closely with corporate headquarters and investor relations to ensure consistency and transparency in reporting and communication.

Financial Planning, Forecasting & Insight

  • Own the end-to-end financial planning cycle for global budgets, forecasts, and long-term outlooks, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business priorities.
  • Monitor how investments and spending translate into tangible business value — tracking ROI, cost-effectiveness, and KPIs against defined objectives.
  • Translate complex financial data into clear, compelling narratives and actionable insights for business leaders, senior management, and investors.
  • Conduct detailed balance sheet analysis and due diligence to ensure financial integrity, compliance, and readiness for internal or external audits and strategic reviews.
  • Driving Commercial Outcomes

  • Analyse vendor contracts (software, hardware, cloud services, consulting) to assess cost structures, identify optimisation opportunities, and support negotiation strategies.
  • Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to ensure vendor agreements are cost-effective, flexible, and aligned with future technology needs.
  • Bring a value-first mindset to investments — driving revenue growth, enhancing customer experience, and improving operational efficiency.
  • Financial Decision Support

  • Provide expert financial guidance to business leaders on project planning, resource allocation, and vendor contract management.
  • Deliver financial analysis, risk assessments, and ROI evaluations for key investments and initiatives.
  • Support vendor negotiations to ensure contracts are financially sound and aligned with budgetary and strategic objectives.
  • Support investor-facing reporting and due diligence documentation as required by the Global Head of FP&A or CFO.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track key financial and operational KPIs, providing regular performance analysis and insights.
  • Develop and deliver clear, actionable reports on financial performance, investment tracking, and cost management.
  • Ensure transparency and accountability through dashboards and self-service reporting tools.
  • Present consolidated financial summaries and insights for executive and board-level reviews .
  • Governance, Compliance & Risk

  • Ensure strict adherence to financial policies, IT cost capitalisation rules, and compliance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with procurement, legal, and compliance teams to maintain effective spending controls and contract governance for IT expenditures.
  • Support due diligence efforts and maintain compliance with internal audit and investor governance standards.
  • Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • CPA, CMA, CIMA, or MBA preferred.
  • Experience

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, IT finance, or finance business partnering within a global, tech-driven environment.
  • Strong expertise in analysing and interpreting full financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow , to generate actionable insights.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end financial planning cycles (budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning).
  • Extensive exposure to IT budgeting, cost allocation methodologies, and technology vendor contract analysis.
  • Experience in balance sheet analysis, due diligence, and investor-level financial reporting .
  • Experience evaluating business cases and tracking ROI on technology investments.
  • Experience in ERP implementation, upgradation, transformation, and change management preferred.
  • Skills

  • Deep understanding of financial accounting principles, IT project lifecycle management, and capital budgeting principles.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modelling, Excel, and visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex data for decision-makers.
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills within fast-paced, matrixed global environments.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including comfort interacting with top management and investors .
